Love is in the Air at Elmore
There are glimpses of spring on the Elmore Estate; the willow has its first catkins, bulbs are pushing their way through the soil, and birds are flying past the windows with twigs in their beaks.
It is the time of year that the birds at Elmore are busy looking for mates, and there is much excitement in the hedgerows and trees as the male birds are noisily trying to impress!
Soon nest building will be in full swing as the temperature slowly warms and food such as grubs and beetles become readily available. The songbirds build open nests, the woodpeckers and owls make nests hidden in cavities of trees and the buzzards make their nests high up in the forks of the tallest of trees.

Weddings at Elmore
Pairing up is also happening in human form, as newly betrothed couples make enquiries about having their weddings at Elmore.
Christmas and New Year is the most popular time to propose in the UK, so the New Year brings with it a flurry of wedding enquiries. With most of 2025 dates already booked, 2026 dates are quickly being snapped up with couples coming from all over the world to have their celebration here. The Elmore Events Team, known fondly as ‘Team E’, run viewings with military precision, showing with pride our beautiful country estate and all it has to offer.
When you get married at Elmore Court, couples have exclusive use of the house with it’s 17 rooms, sleeping up to 39 guests. They also have the use of the unique Gillyflower, a soundproof event space made with the earth from the surrounding estate. Elmore is the ultimate party venue and most importantly it’s, which has been in the family since 1274!
Come and nest in our treehouses
In additional to the house, there are six new luxury treehouses you can come and stay in, hidden in a bluebell covered woodland copse. The treehouses are built sustainably, are hidden from view and completely private, save for a passing blackbird or lolloping hare down below.
They are the most perfect ‘love nests’ to hide in, with everything you could possibly need; from a fully equipped kitchen, woodburning stove, luxury rainfall shower, a bath on the deck to watch the sunset from and the most comfortable beds in the world.
The treehouses overlook the rewilding part of the estate where shallow scrapes and ditches attract wetland birds that you can view with a pair of binoculars from your treehouse bed. Deer wander through the meadows with a melancholic ease, whilst the drum of woodpeckers echo in the trees. It is the perfect place to come and unwind, hide the phone and escape from the real world for a while.
“I soak in the magnificent William Holland tin and copper bath… then lie by the fire pit, looking up at the sky. The stars are out, and the Plough is right above me, which seems appropriate in a place that is rethinking how farmers work the land.” - Lisa Johnson, The Times
If you would like to come and ‘nest’ in the treehouses, there is the most wonderful ‘date night’ offer for stays booked in February, which includes:
- A 2-night stay
- Locally sourced cheeseboard
- Homemade at Elmore brownies
- A bottle of organic prosecco
